Monthly Offerings:
Last Sunday of each month:
4-4:50pm: Monthly Yoga Nidra-50 minutes
Over a 50-minute session, participants are invited to find a resting position that suits their body and needs (similar to savasana). From this position of stillness, participants are then guided through stages of: resolve (sankalpa), focused consciousness, breath awareness, feelings & sensations, and guided visualizations. The practice ends with a few moments of quiet rest. Yoga Nidra is a form of Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR), an intentional rest practice that may offer deeper relief to states of muscular, emotional, and mental tension. All props provided, registration required.

5-5:30pm: Monthly Donation-based Community Meditation Sit-30 minutes
Holding space for our community to gather for a silent seated practice. This is not a guided meditation; there will be no instruction; rather, this is offered as dedicated space to gather for contemplative practices in community; to connect with others and meditate in the lineage/practice of your choice. The sound of the bell will be invited into our space at 5pm and again at 5:30pm to announce the start and end of practice, and Metta will be offered by the facilitator as a closing seal to each session. Studio props that support your seated practice include folding chairs, mats, round/rectangle bolsters, blocks, and blankets; you're welcome to bring your own meditation cushion and props.
*For meditation only*: No cost; suggested donation is $10 per person with River Studio matching all donations. All donations benefit Women's Resource Center of Grand Traverse. Registration required as space and props are limited.
Location for both sessions:
River Studio
307 S. Main Street, Leland
