Weekly Community Wellness Group Yoga Classes
Community Classes are geared towards mindful, meditative, and nervous-system supportive postures with an increased focus on depth of yoga practice through exploration of the Eight-Fold Path; all classes include dedicated contemplation, pranayama, and asana practice

9:30-10:45am Yin & Restorative Yoga (75 minute class)
Class Description:
All levels: Practice is offered entirely on the mat; a meditative offering that blends seated contemplative study and pranayama (breathwork practices) with yin and restorative postures while resolving to stillness for prolonged moments in time. Yin postures held for 3-5 minutes; Restorative offered for longer to practice rest and release of bracing/holding. Props provided and you're welcome to bring your own. Most classes utilize one mat, 2-3 blankets, one bolster, and 2 blocks.

Class Description:
All levels: Refresh your understanding of yoga from the beginning. This class is designed to teach and re-teach the basics of foundation, grounding, movement, breathing, and relaxation. Class focus is on proper alignment and adapting yoga to your physical and mental needs. A great class for active people starting yoga for the first time, students returning to yoga after a time away, or for experienced students wishing to strengthen the foundation of their practice.

Class Description:
All levels: A meditative practice that links contemplative study with pranayama (breathwork), gentle movement (asana), and space for dedicated and supportive rest.
Props provided or you can bring your own. Most classes utilize one mat, two-three blankets, one bolster, and two blocks.
Asana practice includes seated, standing, balancing, and prone/supine postures offered at a gentle pace and depth, and paired with breath.

$40 intake (typically 30-45 minutes)
$40 per session
Prior to Intake: Free 15 minute consultation required for all individual sessions

4) Guided Relational Forest Therapy Sessions:
Community Forest Therapy Group Sessions are offered as a donation-based service
Donations are split between the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary land tenders-the Anishinaabek (Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians) and the current tenders of the trail (National Park Service and regional Conservancies)
No suggested amount; all donations welcomed and appreciated
*Individual or Private Small Group Guided Forest Therapy Sessions are available to those who are already SSY clients; just ask Kristen!
*Community and Private curated retreats/services available; please message Kristen to inquire
*School/Community Agency Programs: message Kristen to inquire
